Meet the Johnsons

Our tribe is living the Pura Vida life in Junquillal, Costa Rica.

We manage vacation rentals in Junquillal, property development in our Palma Azul Homes community and are content creators sharing our life experiences living in Costa Rica.

The Johnsons are living the dream, one joyful adventure at a time!

I deem myself the “artsy fartsy” child of the family. I come from a tribe of business people, but always gravitated towards the arts.

I received my B.M. degree in voice/piano in 2013 and quickly realized public school was not where I wanted to be – so I have been teaching private music lessons ever since.

I love to sing, play the piano, unschool our boys, and I bake a mean chocolate chip cookie 😉

I have a fierce passion for natural living, eating well, and spreading joy into the world.

Justin is a superhero in all accounts. Help with dinner? Check. Take care of Lauren one of the many times she is sick? Check. Clean the house with his obsession of pristine floors? Check. Work his tail off to make the family supported? Check.

Justin has B.M. and Masters degrees in Kinesiology and Ed.D. (Educational Leadership) so he is a pretty cool professor.

He has a love for online video games and all things geekery – and a true passion for health and wellness.

Damian is our very first rainbow baby who came after so much grief.

He is a blue eyed, handsome boy who is the spitting image of Justin.

Damian has an ultimate heart of gold and loves to share the love of Jesus with everyone he meets. He is always making cards, picking flowers, and asking how to help. Latest obsessions = Jiu Jitsu and becoming “strong like daddy”.

The dynamic duo is 5 years old and chaos erupts wherever they go. Although they are identical, their personalities are polar opposite. I mean seriously in regards to
